Another spin on the blog rodeo

Hello!

So, here it is. After writing many hundreds of blog posts for my clients, I’m finally sitting down to write my own.

Although, full disclosure, this isn’t my first time at the blog rodeo. Indeed, my freelance writing journey began with a blog.

It couldn’t have been more cliché. I was living in a studio apartment overlooking a rice field in Bali. It had been a year since I’d set foot on UK soil, having quit my job, packed my bags and gone travelling.

I’d had my fair share of adventures by that point, from climbing a mountain in Borneo to exploring northern Laos on a moped. It felt like the right time to share them.

Luckily I’ve always kept a travel diary, even on a long weekend to Bath. So flipping through my scribbles, sketches and ticket stubs was all the inspiration I needed to fill my new blog’s pages with tales and advice.

When I wasn’t blogging, I was writing web content for a couple of life coaches (‘cos Bali) and a travel PR company. And thus began my copywriting adventure.

More than two years, plenty of learning both on and off the job, and I’m here. Writing that first blog post once again.

Only this time I won’t be sharing tales of reckless adventure in Southeast Asia. This time, I’ll be talking about writing. The people that do it, how we do it, why we do it, and the things that inspire me in the hope that they inspire, interest and maybe even guide you.

So, let me tell you a little about myself. I’m Sally. I’m a copywriter and I specialise in writing web copy and blog posts for businesses that give a damn. The world’s first ethical marketplace, the jewellery brand with a heart, the sustainable skincare startup.

As you probably already guessed, I was a travel lover pre-COVID, but as long as there’s a map to explore, music on the stereo and sun in the sky, I’m happy.

I’ll look forward to seeing you around. And I’d love to hear from you. Drop me a message on LinkedIn or email if you want to chat, have any suggestions or if you want to talk about working together.

It’s good to have you here!
